If the sky is just okay (although not great) then the grass is still fluorescent. I fiddled with all the different settings - mainly on P and Tv - and then tried the filters and changed the ISO, etc. I could have experimented with those when I took the photos, although just now I did just that with the surroundings outside. I'm so frustrated that I had completely forgotten that I bought some filters for my camera a while back. There's no drop down menu for a specific color like you posted). So far the closest I can do to that is to select a general area - like the grass - with the wand and then use the sliders. If one like what you posted exists in GIMP - where I can concentrate only on the greens - I just haven't found it yet. I could only find the general sliders for cyan, magenta, etc. (Although the sliders I've seen in GIMP don't specify specific colors like that. I have tried things like that with the color sliders, hues, levels, etc. Remember, pine woods are just as real as pigsties and a darn sight pleasanter to be in." - L.M. "Don't be led away by those howls about realism. It's greatly appreciated, and I'm really glad I discovered this place. It's the problem I run into the most since here at home I'm surrounded by nothing but fields of grass). so is there at least one setting in particular which should be paid more attention to rather than others? (When it comes to the grass that is. I live sort of out in the country, and oftentimes when I wish to take a photo I don't have the time to manually change the settings. I don't wish to ramble, so I'll just ask one thing: Is the problem with the lime green grass often due to the White Balance? Shutter Speed? I've done a lot of research on the subject and, naturally, came out more confused. My editing program is just GIMP 2.0 and I still haven't been successful in correcting the nightmare, so I figure the best remedy is to avoid it happening in the future altogether.
